ISC Completes Multimillion-Pound Project at the Port of Liverpool

16th June 2025

ISC is proud to announce the successful completion of our multimillion-pound infrastructure project at CLdN‘s Brocklebank Terminal at the Port of Liverpool!

As part of this transformative project, ISC completed 95,000m² of hardstanding and obstruction removal with all materials carefully recycled and reused within the scheme. Our scope of work included the installation of a new stormwater drainage system, a foul water pumping station, high-pressure water mains, and a complete communication ducting network. The project also included the construction of concrete foundations, installation of high mast lighting, full surfacing and line marking, and the development of a new security gatehouse and offices. Advanced fencing and vehicle restraint systems (VRS) were also delivered to enhance safety and security across the terminal.

This major upgrade at the Port of Liverpool has significantly improved cargo operations on the Liverpool to Dublin route for our client CLdN, who recently announced a 25% increase in capacity on this critical shipping corridor thanks to the introduction of larger vessels.

By switching to higher-capacity vessels, CLdN is not only increasing operational efficiency but also contributing to a substantial reduction in CO₂ emissions, potentially cutting emissions per tonne of cargo by up to 50%. These important sustainability gains have been made possible by the important infrastructure enhancements that were delivered by ISC.

Thanks to the infrastructure delivered by ISC, CLdN is now able to operate a scalable schedule of up to 24 return sailings per week between Liverpool and Dublin, boosting freight volumes while lowering environmental impact.

At ISC, we are proud to have played a key role in supporting this critical trade route and contributing to more sustainable logistics.
