ISC are delighted to welcome Grant McConochie to the team, joining as Contracts Manager. Grant brings with him a wealth of experience, having worked in the civil engineering and construction industry for over 27 years. His expertise and leadership will be invaluable as we continue to grow and deliver high-quality Enabling Works, Earthworks and Civil Engineering projects across the UK.

After completing his degree, Grant began his career as a site engineer, where he gained vast experience in project execution and site management. As his career progressed, he transitioned into project management, taking on increasingly complex and large-scale projects. Over the years, Grant has successfully led multi-disciplinary teams through the tender stage, site investigation works, design management, cost analysis, and buildability reviews.

His extensive experience extends to the delivery of major highways and airport projects (both civil and military) with values reaching up to £75 million.

Grant’s approach to project management is rooted in collaboration and efficiency. He has built strong relationships with clients, designers, and supply chain partners, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. His ability to oversee all aspects of a project, from initial planning through to successful completion, makes him a strong asset to our team.

Beyond his professional expertise, Grant is passionate about inspiring the next generation of construction talent. His commitment to mentorship aligns perfectly with ISC and the wider GRS Group‘s values of continuous learning and growth within our team.

Outside of work, Grant enjoys spending time outdoors, particularly walking his two rescue dogs. He also enjoys participating in both field and target archery.
